Scrutineering will be available at Mellish between 8.30am and 10.00 am on Saturday, day before the race. Ticket must be presented at the Horse racing Club 11.00 am to 1.00 pm. Scrutineering will also take place at the Gregory Horse racing club between 11-00 am and 1.00 pm on the same Saturday. Please note that due to COVID 19 competitors will not be able to register on Saturday at the Gregory . So please Register on Line before the close off date.
STRICKLEY NO LATE NOMINATIONS OR LATE PAYMENTS unless by prior arrangement.
After canoes are inspected, racing numbers will be issued and must be attached to both sides of the canoe (above the water line. Craft will be checked for flotation.
Everyone must present Buoyancy vests and helmets (no inflatable PFD’S allowed) PDF to be Type 2 or 3. Canoeing helmets required bicycle helmets are not suitable.
NOTE: Competitors can only enter in one class
Registration Fees Are as Follows
Full Course $120 per person
Short Course $60 per person
Under 18 $30 per person
OTHER INFORMATION
The North West Canoe Club have purchased five K1 Kayaks from Knysna Racing KZN
They consist of one of each of the following racing models:
Jacana , Lancer, Vantage Pro, Vantage Pro Plus and Vantage River
These new racing Kayaks will be available for hire by experienced paddlers for the 46 th Gregory River Canoe Marathon.
Kayaks will be transported by the North West Canoe Club to the Gregory River Race.
Price is $200.00 to hire plus $300.00 bond which will be returned in full depending on condition of returned boat.
